Goodbye, Phase 1

Posted on

First of all, let me express my gratitude to all of the folks within the TCU community who contributed so much to the success of the new website! From the Web Redesign Committee to Chancellor’s Cabinet to the academic program page pilot and everything in between, your contributions made the new site possible.

If you haven’t had a chance to look around, hop on over to www.tcu.edu and give it a test drive. There is a Feedback link down in the purple footer on each page to let you send questions, comments and suggestions to our web team.

We are particularly excited about the new Academic Majors & Programs section. Apparently, so are lots of people, as it has been in the list of our Top 10 most-visited pages since we launched the site last month. We will continue to work with our content partners to refine these new pages and make them even more helpful for our prospective students and their families.

The launch of the core site marks the end of Phase 1 and the beginning of Phase 2, which focuses on colleges, schools and institutes.

The new TCU site design system was based around the content and navigational requirements of the core site. We are working with several administrative units and college task groups to expand the design system to work well for our Phase 2 sites. We are working through some wireframes and comps now; I will let you know once we have some sneak previews to show you.
